The latest Marquise blocks! I have managed to regain a little of the momentum that I had lost, but I am still not back up to speed. This is mostly due to being incredibly busy with other projects, but also partly just that my drive to work on this hasn’t fully recovered from losing that block a few months ago. The good news is that I am nearly halfway through the blocks though, as there are only 30 blocks. The bad news is that I still have barely started on the white and gray sashing pieces (aka path) that go around the blocks. Those account for a huge portion of this quilt, so I still have a really long way to go.
In other news… My Under the Veranda quilt top is nearly done!! I have been working on it off and on all day, and all that is left now is to put the three borders on. I still haven’t taken a photo of the last block… I am a terrible blogger. So I will just have to take a photo of it and crop it out of the quilt top ;). Taking a photo of the quilt top is going to be a challenge though, as it is huge! Plus, I am discovering that my pictures aren’t coming out very well since switching the lights in my sewing room from CFL to LED. I think I will have to hunt for an outdoor location where I can hang it up.
And… my to do list for tomorrow includes a hunt for backing for the ECU quilt!
