March Finish?

I have just decided on my March goal for A Lovely Year of Finishes. Back in late October or early November of 2013, when I had only been sewing for a few months, I started on Green Fairy’s Flower Patch quilt. The quilt had tons and tons of flying geese made using jelly roll strips and a layer cake, both from Moda’s 30’s Playtime collection. There came a point when I was so sick of stitching flying geese that I just put it aside. I have only opened the bin the blocks are stored in once since then, and that was just to filch a few strips of extra fabric. Frankly, I am afraid of what I will see when I look at them again.

So, my March goal is to finish piecing the quilt top. And to be forgiving of my poorly pieced blocks.

There are only a few old photos to share at this point; I haven’t even pulled the box down off the shelf yet. These were snapped back when the only space I had for sewing was my kitchen table, and I was still sewing on my little Bernina Bernette…
