Since folks were finding the format of the page a wee bit confusing without the blog on the main page, I decided it was time for a face lift. This is a work in progress, so the site will be in flux for a bit. Please forgive me as I feel out this redesign!
I have a lot of reorganizing and playing around to do, and I might not get everything right on the first try. Feedback along the way is always appreciated! Also, my time to work on things like this is a bit limited at the moment. In addition to trying to get some sewing done, my 22 month old decided she can no longer be contained by a crib, so yesterday we made the conversion to a toddler bed.
Anyone with kids knows this means I am spending a large portion of my night convincing her to get back in bed! It also means I have a lot of work to do in order to toddler proof her room. The short term solution was to toss all her toys and books in her closet, install a bed rail, take out the changing table she loves to climb, add more drawer locks, and door knob covers before putting her in bed last night. We still need to assemble some toy storage furniture and tether her dresser to the wall… things like that. Fun times! Especially since it was 11:30 before I got her to go to sleep last night, and the nanny (aka Grandma) reports her nap was a similar battle today.
Obviously, no sewing was done last night in the rush to get all of that accomplished before bed time. However, I have made a little more progress on the never-ending Plain & Fancy sashing blocks! Now two thirds of the stars are complete, and the last third are ready and waiting. In all it is only a few hours of sewing left to do for them, but given how hectic life is right now… it could be a while.
